YES!!! Secret passageways, used historically for quick escapes and hiding royalty are coming back. Everyone needs a mystery room in their house. What could be better for a kid than a top secret place. Let’s face it, hidden doors are just cool.
Almost as cool as the parents who get one built for their little spies.

Heritage Home Builders | We build trust.

A young couple in North Carolina looking for a place to live wanted something a little different. They were looking for a slightly more alternative and portable living space, and well, they got it! This old school bus was completely remodeled into a fully functioning mini home, complete with bedroom, office, and kitchen areas. We especially love the elegant wood interior. For such a tiny space, it actually looks pretty comfortable! It just goes to show you that anything is possible if you have the ability to think outside the box. Or, in this case, inside the bus. Great for entertaining guests, or just sitting outside on a quiet night roasting marshmallows, fire pits are a stunning addition to your backyard. We just love the limestone and the wooden benches in the left picture, and the fire pit built into a tree stump is gorgeous as well. How creative is that?

We just completed this FRESH, NEW OFFICE space for a dad (with two small kids) who WORKS FROM HOME. First report: “It’s awesome…but strangely quiet in here!” Do you need a QUIET PLACE to WORK that allows you to enjoy all the comforts of home…and meet up with your family for a backyard picnic lunch? We can build this for you.
This STUNNING and RUSTIC LIVING ROOM uses TRESTLEWOOD, a company that specializes in beautiful, distinctive WOOD WITH A HISTORY. Their major product lines include ANTIQUE WOOD FLOORING, RECLAIMED TIMBERS and beams (hand-hewn, weathered or resawn), barnwood siding, reclaimed lumber and RECLAIMED WOOD MANTELS. We’d love to incorporate their products into our CUSTOM-BUILT HOMES, POOL CASITAS, OUTDOOR KITCHENS and more. And we bet that our friends at AUSTIN ANTLERS could fashion one of those chandeliers for you, and our friend KIMBALL BONAMICI could pull together the rest of the interior. If you can envision it, we can build it.
An AIRY PAVILION for outdoor cooking and dining, hammock lying, friend gathering and garden gazing. In Austin, you can enjoy this for three (or four) seasons. We can build this for you.

Actor RAINN WILSON, best known for his role as Dwight Schrute on “The Office,” has a cozy, earthy and rustic spot where he sets up his own 200 square-foot HOME OFFICE. It’s detached from the main house, displays exterior siding that is made of RECLAIMED WOOD, and is situated to feel as if it’s nestled in the trees. Have you been wanting to set up a space that’s less “The Office” and more your office? We can build this for you.
